Logistics and Communication

When is the move happening?

We’re hard at work “Blountifying” our new headquarters. This means finishing the aesthetics of the space to make it look and feel like our current Blount offices. This will be done with many small touches, primarily carpet, paint colors, furniture selections, digitals, and wall graphics. The plan is to have everything ready by the first week of May. As for Phases II and III, those timelines are still TBD. Stay tuned and get ready to pack your boxes.

Will we be notified well in advance of the move?

Absolutely! We want to ensure everyone has ample time to prepare and get excited for the big move. You’ll get all the details well beforehand to plan accordingly and make the transition as smooth as possible. You will receive complete instructions of what to pack, when and how. Our goal is to keep you in the loop often.

Who should I contact if I have a question about the move?

You should first contact your supervisor. If you have a policy, benefit, or confidential matter to discuss, contact Human Resources. Or feel free to reach out to Andrea Walker with any remaining questions.

Will there be refrigerator space?

Absolutely! The refrigerators will be spacious enough to handle snacks and lunches. Storage shelves will also be available for your iced-packed lunch boxes.

Building Questions

Can I bring my mini fridge to my area?

Great question! Mini fridges can tag along if they fit the new space and don’t hog the power outlets. If you're unsure, double-check with your supervisor or facilities team.

Is there a mother's room?

Yes! The new location will have a dedicated mother's room designed for privacy and comfort—no dual-purpose distractions—just a peaceful space for moms.

Will there be plenty of meeting rooms?

The seven meeting rooms will accommodate everything from quick huddles to more extensive team sessions. Whether you need a small space for a brainstorming session or a bigger room for a presentation, there will be options to suit your needs. The meeting rooms will be uploaded into Outlook in March so that you can book your spaces well in advance of the move.

Will there be a consideration for quiet and loud workspaces?

The offices will balance productivity and collaboration by including designated quiet areas for focused work and louder spaces for teamwork and brainstorming. That way, everyone can find the environment that best suits their needs.

Will there be telephone rooms?
telephone.png

A couple of telephone rooms will be provided. For now, we have decided that they will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. We can always review the situation after a few months.

Will there be outdoor seating/picnic tables?

Yes! We’ve planned outdoor seating and picnic tables so you can soak up the sun and enjoy your lunch or a quick break in the fresh air.

Technology Questions

Can the meeting rooms be reserved at the new offices?

Yes, we will continue to use the same system to reserve meeting rooms. We plan to name the meeting rooms and enter them into the system sometime in March/April so you can book the space you need in advance.

What will the IT support be at the new offices?

IT support will be just as strong, if not better, in the new offices! Whether on-site assistance, a help desk, or remote troubleshooting, the tech team will have your back to keep everything running smoothly.

What is the cell service like?

Cell service at the new location is expected to be strong, but we’ll also have Wi-Fi throughout the building to keep you connected. If there are any signal-dead zones, we’ll explore solutions like signal boosters to ensure you can always stay in touch.

Will there be a lag in response time to the server?

No! The IT team has prioritized ensuring a fast and reliable connection at the new location. With the upgraded infrastructure, server response times should be smooth and efficient. If any hiccups arise, rest assured that they’ll be handled swiftly.

We are moving

in 2025!

We are excited to announce a significant step in our journey as we relocate our corporate headquarters from Fall River, Massachusetts, to Warren, Rhode Island.

Picture1.png

This move is a key milestone, bringing most of our corporate team together in a single location. We anticipate this consolidation will enhance collaboration, foster innovation, and create an environment that propels our continued growth and success. This isn’t just a relocation—it’s an opportunity to rethink how we work, connect, and thrive together. We are starting this journey in our transitional office in Warren, RI, with plans for a more permanent branded location over the next 3 years. Our location at 630 Currant Road in Fall River, MA, will remain our largest manufacturing facility, with on-site operations and support staff. We are committed to maintaining this facility and will continue producing exceptional products that help us Feed America daily.

As we approach this exciting milestone, we encourage you to stay tuned for more updates!
